Second novel in the Family Tree Series: Mysteries with a twist of genealogy, a dab of history, and a full measure of southern charm. The Story:

Katharine Murray is invited by her friend, Dr. Flo Gadney, to journey to a Georgia barrier island to determine if a grave belongs to Dr. Flo's grandfather. The women discover that the grave in question rests in a small plot with three others that are most mysterious. Who were the woman and child with the oddly spelled names? And why does the obelisk above the fourth grave bear a crudely carved skull with crossed bones? By the time Katharine finishes this investigation, she has dodged bullets and used census reports from the nineteenth century to uncover a number of family skeletons one family would rather had stayed buried.

Author's comments on the book:

This is one of my favorites among books I've written. Researching the history of McIntosh County, Georgia, during the Reconstruction Era was fascinating, as was learning about Confederate privateers. Let me know what you think of the book at thoroughlysouthern@earthlink.net

And please do me a favor: If your public library doesn't have this book, would you ask them to get it for their shelves? An enthusiastic reader is the best endorsement. Thanks!
