I think this is the
most useful book I ever wrote. One military wife credits it with
saving her life. Her new mother-in-law gave it to her soon after she
married an Air Force officer, and before he left for his first tour
away from home after they married, they used the security chapter of
this book to intruder-proof her apartment. While her husband was
away, someone tried to break into her apartment, could not get it,
broke into an apartment down the hall and raped and killed the young
woman there.
No
wonder national newspaper columnist Ana Veciana Suarez called it
"A book every woman needs on her night
stand."
It's a humorous, practical
more-than-survival manual for women who cope with life on their
own:
-
single women
- women
who are widowed or divorced
- women
married to men who are away a great deal of the time:
- military
men
- pilots
- entertainers
- professional
athletes
- police
officers
- lawyers
- doctors
& nurses
- ministers
- corporate
executives
- firefighters
- politicians
-
truck drivers
-
prisoners
- salesmen
- loners
Highly
readable, practical, and encouraging, this is a great gift for
women who are newly widowed, divorced, or getting married to a man
who will often be away. Also provides great discussion
starters for women’s study or support groups.
